All the names are aliases except for Harley Hank.
One of the first bands that Scott Albert of Circle of Dust fame was involved with.
They changed their name to Immortal.
“Thick-Headed Mule” was re-recorded by Immortal.

G. Smiley - Noises of a guitarish sort, b. vox

All the names are aliases except for Harley Hank.
Biff Braddock can be seen playing the 'stick' bass in the Circle of Dust video for Telltale Crime.
He eventuality went on to be a wildly-sought out studio musician and played for Sixpence None the Richer and also Shania Twain.
G. Smiley is short for Guy Smiley because his face had an uncanny resemblance to Guy Smiley from Sesame Street.
T. Stix is short for Thundersticks.
Harley Hank was a guest vocalist. He really had a Harley.
WUSB 90.1 was the college radio station at Stony Brook University, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York.
A couple of guys used to guest D.J. there and play Christian music.
"The first station of the 90's" - meaning 90.1
a guess is there is not any more than 50 in existence.
(Now) Celldweller is wildly successful, has an international following, and this is the very first thing released with his musicianship.
The story behind Justified Rebellion’s (joke) track “Icabod”?
The lyrics are “Icabod – the glory has departed.”
Christian Rock Music was very controversial in the 1980’s. Many said it was of the Devil.
Pentecostal minister David Wilkerson, the author of the book “The Cross and The Switchblade” attended a Christian Rock Concert.
He claimed to have a vision of demons flying around the stage
and Satan’s voice saying, “Ha! They think they are worshipping God, but they are actually worshipping me!”
He ran out of the room screaming, “Icabod – the glory has departed!”

ReplyDeleteWhen I was not a Christian, like many, I was a lover of secular Rock and after my conversion to Christianity I found myself with Christian rock and it was something extremely satisfying, but we must be clear, in the midst of everything there is tares, in the midst of musical genres there is paganism, metal like DEath metal, Heavy etc. For example, the voices of DEATH METAL are voices created in order to reflect evil through their tones and the image that has been given to demons and in the midst of Christian rock that is maintained, in heavy and glam, for example, the aesthetics of the singers maintained the same pagan aesthetic, hair and way of dressing, glam fashion inspired by transvestites, that is why in the e0s and 80s rockers put on makeup and maintained their feminine trend in their rock aesthetic, it is a homosexual fashion and style tolerated as something normal in the pop society of the moment. All that pagan outline in the musical genres is maintained, created for rebellion, satan is cunning and music is his perfect weapon, with it he moves emotions, which is what fills humanity.
ReplyDeleteLet us remember that satan used the very Word of God to tempt our savior Jesus Christ in the desert, however, that he used other things such as music that names God to keep the Christian locked in only emotions is nothing out of the ordinary. IF satan himself is involved in the pulpits manipulating and doing his thing, now much more in things like this. We must be careful. Not all that glitters is gold.
